Fluid Frame is a visual production team focused on creating still images and motion pictures that empower audiences, inspire action and elevate brands.
Q. What was your inspiration for taking this photo?
Fluid Frame: We shoot a lot of culinary and lifestyle images that feel very natural. For this project, the goal was to do something more stylized that was fun and playful.
Q. What type of setting do you prefer?
FF: We love shooting on location and manipulating and supplementing the available light, however we often also shoot in the the studio (like this project).
Q. How long have you been shooting this type of photography?
FF: We have been shooting culinary photography for about 3 years. We shoot a lot of motion content in the food space and that lead naturally to incorporating it into our stills.
Q. When did you join ASMP and what do you find most valuable about your membership?
FF: We joined ASMP in 2014 and have enjoyed the opportunities to connect with our local photography community.
Q. What kind of gear do you use?
FF: For stills we primarily shoot with Canon. 5D Mark III and IV. For motion content it’s all over the place depending on the project. Canon c300 Mark II, Arri Amira, Sony F55, depends on the project.
We use both still and constant lighting depending on the project and the location.
