ASMP Continues to Urge Passage of HR3945 (CASE Act) by House Judiciary Committee

by | Jun 11, 2018 | Advocacy, Copyright Reform, Small Claims Report

We continue to work for passage of HR 3945, the CASE Act, as a means to resolve a historic inequity that has left you with “rights but not remedies” under the current copyright system.  We are awaiting a markup hearing for this bill, hoping to get it out of the House Judiciary Committee with an overwhelmingly positive vote and then to the full House before the August recess.

I have sent out this letter urging Members of the Judiciary Committee to support our request that the Chairman and Ranking Member schedule this markup vote as quickly as possible.  We need you to continue to make your voices heard by calling or writing your Representative asking them to support action.  Our ability to influence a positive vote in the House and Senate this year in this session of Congress depends on you.

Call or email your Representative, and then do a selfie for Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook with a sign that says “I Support HR 3945” and hashtag it #HR3945, #SmallClaims, #MySkillsPayBills and #MyCASE4Copyright tags.
