About the Photographer

Imke Lass

German born photographer Stefan Falke lives in New York City and works for international magazines, film studios and corporate clients. He is the author/photographer of two books: “MOKO JUMBIES: The Dancing Spirits of Trinidad”, a photo essay about a stilt walking school in Trinidad, and “LA FRONTERA”, for which he photographed over 200 artists on both sides of the entire 2000 miles long US-Mexico border in order to shine a spotlight on the vibrant cultural activities in a region known to us mostly from news reports about violent crime and illegal immigration. La Frontera is an ongoing project - since 2008 - Falke continues to travel and photograph artists on both sides of the southern border; the project had solo exhibitions in New York, San Diego, Washington DC, McAllen, Brownsville, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Tübingen, Stuttgart, Tijuana, San Ysidro, Calexico and Mexicali.
