About the Photographer

Justin Ide is a commercial and documentary photographer and a veteran photojournalist based in Central Virginia. Covering major news, sports and feature stories worldwide for over twenty-five years, Justin was previously based in Boston, MA, as a staff photographer at The Boston Herald, and as Director of Photography at Harvard University's Office of News and Public Affairs. Justin now lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with his wife and the best chocolate lab in the world, Rio. When not on assignment or shooting a personal project, you can find him fly fishing along a trout stream, somewhere. Justin is a member of The NPPA, APA, PPA, and ASMP.
