How Submissions Work

Submitting images is simple. When submitting images , email them to premierimagingpgh@gmail.com

Include the title, edition, and price of the image. We recommend adding your website, social media links, and an artist bio. If your work is selected, this helps us better promote your work across platforms.

What You’re Agreeing To

By submitting, you confirm:

  • You own the rights to your images and take full responsibility for their content.
  • The work is your own. You may incorporate elements by others, but the final image must be essentially yours.
  • The image was not generated primarily by artificial intelligence. (Post-processing using tools like Photoshop is fully acceptable.)
  • Images were made “off the clock”. Show us your work made as a personal project, made on your own time, and for yourself.

Image Specifications

  • File format: JPG
  • Submitt 1-5 images, formatted to 11×14, 12×12, 15×15, 16×20, or 20×24. Unique sizing and treatments are welcome.
  • Color space: sRGB recommended for both B&W and color
  • Avoid watermarks or signatures—they distract from your work. For diptychs or triptychs, assemble into one image before uploading.

Juror Selections

The jurors will select between 1 – 5 images, depending on the number of submissions and wall space available

  • Exhibition Gallery: Images are printed and hung at Premier Imaging’s Golden Hour Gallery, North Hills Village Mall, Pittsburgh
  • Online Gallery: Images are displayed digitally via continuous-loop projection in the gallery.

All selected images will be included in the exhibition catalog and will be promoted through social media.

Artists’ Rights

You retain all rights to your images.

If your work is selected, you grant ASMP PGH and Golden Hour Gallery the right to:

  • Display it on their website and social media
  • Include it in the exhibition catalog
  • Use it to promote future exhibits (with credit)

We will never use your images or information for any other purpose without your permission.

Notifications

All submitters will be notified by email about the juror’s selections, usually 5 days after the submission deadline. Selections are also posted to the exhibition webpage.

Printing, Matting & Framing

If your work is selected for the Exhibition Gallery, Premier Imaging offers several options to make exhibiting affordable:

  • Use their professional print service: For $ 9-15 (this is deeply discounted for our Pittsburgh members, price depends on size and paper selected), they’ll make a high-quality prints from your digital file and frame it at no added cost for the duration of the exhibit. Return shipping is optional and available for an additional $25.
  • Ship your own print: If your print fits within their standard 11×14, 12×12, 15×15, 16×20, or 20×24 mats, they’ll mat and frame it for free. Custom mat sizing is available, but framing must work within the standard mat sizes listed.
  • Send a framed piece: You may send a ready-to-hang framed print in any size, but please contact Premier first for approval of work larger than 16×20 to ensure we can accommodate it.

Sales

If your work is sold, Premier will take a 25% commission on your print.

Lab Tips for the Off the Clock Gallery Show

Exhibitors are welcome to provide “wall-ready” pieces.

If an Exhibitor is looking to have their work printed and/or framed, please follow the guidelines below:

Prints should be sized for

  • 11×14 (can be matted to 8×10)
  • 16×20 (can be matted to 11×14)
  • 20×24 (can be matted to 16×20)
  • 12×12 (no matting)
  • 15×15 (no matting)
  • Unique sizes with “faux matting” are welcome. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff

Files provided should be consistent with the aspect ratio of the intended print and be JPG, JPEG, or TIFF 300dpi or greater with sRGB color space (no RAW files please).

Each Exhibitor should include a short biography, titles of pieces (along with any other pertinent information such as the medium or equipment used), as well as any social media handles/contact information.

If the Exhibitor wishes to allow the sale of their piece, please provide the desired cost. Please note that Premier Imaging / Golden Hour Gallery will facilitate the sales, retaining a 25% fee.

Please note the following discounted print costs for

ASMP Members: 11×14 = $9.99, 12×12=$9.99, 16×20=$14.99, 20×24=$19.99 – Premium papers available at additional cost.

Any prints produced are the property of the Exhibitor and, if unsold, will be returned to the Exhibitor at the conclusion of the exhibition.
