Shoot the Breeze
March 12, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free – $10.00
We hope your 2020 is off to a great start and that you’ve had the chance to create some images you’re proud of! This month, we’d love to see what you’ve been working on at our March “Shoot the Breeze” photography social.
If you’ve never attended before, “Shoot the Breeze” is a fantastic opportunity to socialize with other local photographers, share your work on the big screen, and get caught up on what others in the Phoenix photographic community have been working on.
Whatever you want to show, we want to see it — whether that’s personal work, experimental alternative process pieces, an Instagram series, a short motion piece, your latest fine art project, or a cool client assignment.
For Digital Stills: Please prepare 5-10 images in sRGB JPEG format, quality level 10 (Photoshop) or 90% (everything else), at 1920 pixels on the long side. (If you’re doing zany things with text or graphic overlays, PNG will also work and better preserve your graphic elements.) Please name your files using the format Your Name #, e.g. John Smith 5.jpg, and do not include watermarks. We’ll use your filenames to provide credit and sequence your series correctly.
Once your images are ready for prime time, you can upload your images to our event Dropbox (no account needed). Procrastinators may bring their images to the event on a USB flash drive.
For Prints: We love physical prints, but please be aware the studio has limited ability to hang work. Mounted, unframed prints are easiest to display; in a pinch unmounted prints can usually be taped to something.
For Motion: For best results (internet at the studio can occasionally be spotty), please bring your file on a USB drive. The studio’s displays are 1080P, so no need to go crazy with an epic 8K HDR file.
