Rick A. Brown RAB Imaging & Bryan Heim Photography
Considered by many to be among mankind’s most beautiful creations aircraft capture the sprit of flight, romance of metal, and freedom of the skies. Local aviation specialists Rick A. Brown (@RABPhotog) and Bryan Heim (@BryanHeimPhoto) present how aviation photography inspired their careers, imagination, & creative eye with different types of aviation photography including Air 2 Air, Living History, Pin-Up Models, and Air 2 Air Formations.
Join Rick & Bryan at the perfect aviation setting for this presentation, Aerometal International, specialist in Douglas DC-3 restoration and maintenance. Located just outside of Portland in Aurora, Oregon this local aviation business brings many attractions to the presentation including vintage aircraft on display.
The event will include a general introduction of Rick and Bryan’s aviation photography experience, followed by a uniquely formatted discussion of challenges specific to aviation photography. Finally, there will be a team shoot with models and aircraft to finish the evening. These shoots will allow each team to build an image together confronting some of the challenges in aviation photography, such as making a pleasing image in a setting with many distracting elements and controlling reflections on a very reflective surface.
