Long time ASMP Ohio Valley member Shellee Fisher, now located in California, is visiting Columbus for a week and agreed to do a tech talk on her extensive career in event photography! If you think oh event photography is easy; just show up and shoot, you need to hear this talk. Shellee will talk about how there is a real art to event photography and, as the title of her talk says, “Event Photography is like Sports Photography: You Gotta Know the Game”.

The talk will be held at CCAD on November 24 at 11am.

Free to students and members, $25 for guests.

LOCATION: Design Studio on Broadstreet, Rm 126. This is in the back of the first floor area.

Speaker Bio

Shellee Fisher is a respected corporate and event photographer with 17 years behind the camera
and over 40 years as an entrepreneur. Her dynamic, story-driven work has served major clients
including JPMorgan Chase, Honda, Nationwide Insurance, City of Columbus, The Ohio State
University, PNC Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Cardinal Health, and Macy’s.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Shellee is known for her ability to anticipate moments, move
seamlessly through events, and deliver polished, brand-aligned imagery. Now based in
California’s Bay Area, she operates Shellee Fisher Photography & Design and her mobile
headshot studio, The Headshot Corner.

She is passionate about mentoring emerging photographers and teaching them that event
photography is more than taking pictures — it’s understanding the rhythm, reading the room,
and knowing the game.
