Flashes of Hope (FOH) is a charity that organizes professional photographers to photograph young patients with cancer and their families so they have a new way to see themselves. A few ASMP members in our chapter have a long tradition of donating their time to them.
To help get the word out to more members, we are making Flashes of Hope dates formal ASMP chapter events. There are FOH branches all over the US, including in Columbus and Cincinnati.
This specific event is outdoors at Camp Joy in Clarksville, Ohio at Camp Joy, which is close to Cincinnati and only ~70 miles from Columbus. Columbus has events that are closer to Columbus, and we will post about those as we learn about them. This event is sponsored by Flashes of Hope/Cincinnati chapter.

“Camp Joy hosts a week-long camp for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center patients with cancer, blood diseases and immune disorders and their siblings. Teen Camp photo day is scheduled for Tuesday July 16 in the morning. Kid camp photo day is Tuesday July 23 in the morning. Flash of Hope photographers arrive at 8:15 on photo day. We are scheduled to photograph from 9-12 but often finish earlier. Each photographer is assigned an outdoor station, and the campers are brought to the photographer. We try to get as much variety as possible of each camper. There are ~100 campers during teen week and ~120 campers during kid week. We typically have 8-10 photographers each day. Most photographers choose 1 day, but you are welcome to help out twice if you like. The more photographers, the better! If you have someone you can bring to assist you, that would be helpful.
