This special in-person event with ASMP photographer Lynn Goldsmith is being presented by Music Columbus and CAPA at Lincoln Theater.

ASMP members are likely very familiar with Lynn’s career and most recently her Supreme Court win against the Andy Warhol Foundation. What you may not know is that her legal battle against the Andy Warhol Foundation cost “well above $2.5 million” and that “there were not damages in there for me to collect on because I’m beyond the statutes of limitation.”

Per a 2023 PetaPixel article, “Due to her financially devastating court battle, Goldsmith was forced to sell her home.” One other detail I didn’t know. She was not the one who brought the lawsuit. The Andy Warhol Foundation was. In March of this year, the Warhol Foundation was ordered to pay damages of $21,000.

So, for photographers looking to support a fellow photographer, lots of reasons to attend this event, and if you can afford it, buy the VIP ticket, which includes a copy of one of her photo books. Her gofundme fundraiser is still open so if you want to help via gofundme, you can help that way, too.
