Summer Social 2025 Recap

We had a great turnout at our Summer Social in Columbus, Ohio last night. We saw some old friends, made some new ones, had some great conversations and food, and, one thing I did not realize when we publicized the event, we had free beer on tap! We also got a chance to celebrate student member (and our social media chair) Emily Orsini’s graduation this summer. She now is officially looking for work!

Towards the end of the night we played with an underwater camera, and though it was too dark and we didn’t quite understand all the camera settings, we had a lot of fun doing the shoot.

Thanks to Michael and Alan for allowing us to hold the event at their lovely home with a beautiful backyard with pool, hot tub, and kitchen area. Thanks also to Chase Williams, former student of Michael’s, who brought not only two guests but some barbecue as well, helped us setup everything, and helped shoot some of the underwater scenes at the end of the night. And everyone who complimented my vegan potato salad and tofu scramble, I thank you!
