Real World Mentorship for Emerging Photographers

The Bridge, now entering its 4th year, is a free program for emerging photographers 18 to 26 years old. During our Summer classes, the students learn skills they will need to enter the business. Then they get their foot in the door with a real world mentorship with a working photographer, and an exhibition of their work. The Bridge Consists of:
  • 8 weeks of classes over the summer
  • 2 month mentorship with working photographers
  • Additional mentorship, coaching, and outside support
  • A public exhibition for the students to showcase their work

Mission Statement

Right now there are thousands of extraordinary young artists who have exciting new visions and stories to share with the world and most people, especially groups that have been historically left out of the world of photography, are not born with time, money, or the connections to launch, cultivate, and sustain a career in the arts.

We are here to bridge that gap.

By building access to real-world tools, connections, and opportunities we strengthen not just the young creative entering the job market, but the health of the industry as a whole.
