Annie Watt, well-known Society Photographer, takes us step by step through the process of salvaging a bad photo using Photoshop.
I’m not a Photoshop Guru. If you ask other photographers about their work flow and techniques, you would find we are all different and do what works to get the job done. There are plenty editing tools available, in general I don’t use them because I have a system that works for me. For example, I would use Lightroom and pre-sets if my photos had similar lighting and cropping. Since I am all over the room shooting in different lighting scenarios, batch editing doesn’t do the trick. Most importantly, people want to look their best… tall and handsome, slimmed down, pretty and most of all, happy. Well, sometimes I just don’t shoot them looking that way. But I can change that with Photoshop. I call myself a digital plastic surgeon.
