A collaborative in-person event.
This collaborative event takes place in Hastings on Hudson and features a national juried photography show, a curator talk with Dave Shelley, and ASMP’s first in-person Fine Art Salon. Dave Shelley, co-founder of Photoville and curator of Upstream Gallery’s photography show “Enigma,” will discuss the current state of photography. At Ted & Nune Studio, we will hold a Fine Art Salon, where photographers will show prints and give and receive informal feedback. Bring your questions and bring your prints!
About Upstream Gallery:
Upstream Gallery was founded in 1991 by artists who came of age in New York during the 50’s and 60’s. The gallery continues a long tradition of artists presenting their own work, from the independent Impressionist salons and exhibitions of 19th century France to the artist-run galleries of mid-century Manhattan. Upstream’s founding artists created a vibrant gathering place where community comes together, celebrating art in many forms.
About Dave Shelley:
Hailing from Detroit Michigan;
Among many credits, Dave is the Co-Founder of Photoville, the largest free photography festival in North America based in Brooklyn, New York. Photoville is a Non-profit organization whose mission is to promote a wider understanding and increased access to the art of Photography for all.
About Fine Art Salon hosted by Ted & Nune:
Fine Art Salon is an informal platform for providing and receiving constructive feedback in a friendly atmosphere.
This is our first in-person meeting where photographers will show physical prints.
Three ASMP members and three members from the local Upstream Gallery photography community are welcome to share their work.
