Since June, students of The Bridge NY have been grinding through challenging questions of communication, creative point of view, and career sustainability. They’ve been joined by pros and educators from across the industry, contributing their experience, their stories and honest thoughts about these very same issues.
Concurrently, they’ve been conceptualizing, critiquing, developing and completing new work for exhibition. They have worked with individualized Mentors, gaining fresh opportunities in the industry and valuable feedback for their projects.
For some of our students, this is the first of many exhibitions and showcases of work as students become working professionals, artists and creators. For others it’s a chance to showcase the growth that comes from tackling the hard questions.
Join us as we celebrate the fruits of that journey.

What is The Bridge?
The Bridge is a not-for-profit mentorship program created by BKC and ASMP for emerging photographers 18-26 years old — now offered in both NY & LA — with emphasis on supporting young artists from historically underrepresented communities. The Bridge was created to help these artists forge a path towards a successful and sustainable careers in the arts.
The program offers our students real-world mentorship and professional development, exposing them to working spaces and expanding their network. It asks essential questions, and challenges critical thinking and communication skills. Students are set up with mentors to help evolve their vision, and they complete a new series of work for exhibition.
We do all this FOR FREE. We are able to offer this program at no cost to the students thanks to our sponsors
