COVID-19 Compliance Officer (C19CO) Certification

If you have been bidding assignments recently, you know that one of the first questions art producers and clients immediately ask is: “do you have a plan for the safety of our set”. There is also an increasing demand for a new position, COVID-19 Compliance Officer (C19CO).  This course is designed to inform producers, photographers, and crews about on-set protocols related to COVID-19. It will also provide the tools and resources you need for the new COVID-19 Compliance Officer (C19CO) position.

 

Having this training and certification in your tool kit, will increase your opportunities of being hired by clients old and new during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

 

Upon course completion participants will receive:
  • A Course Completion Certificate.
  • Online Covid-19/Coronavirus resources, questionnaires, screening forms and medical reporting forms.
  • A listing in the Safety First published database of compliance officers.

 

This course is designed for all types of productions. On-set safety standards are constantly changing and vary from city to city. Please consult your local and state health departments and check the latest CDC guidelines before each shoot. This course follows the guidelines set by the United States Department of Public Labor – Occupational Safety & Health Administration. It follows the Health & Safety Guidelines for Motion Picture, Television & Streaming Productions presented by the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers white paper, and General Workplace Safety Guidelines set by the CDC.

David Morgan

has been working in healthcare since 1986 and currently serves as the Principal Trainer at Safety First.  Mr. Morgan has been a Corporate Trainer in Health & Safety Skills since 1986.  Mr. Morgan worked as an Emergency Medical Technician at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.   After he received his B.A. in Social Work and completed coursework for a Masters in Public Health from Rutgers University, he became the Administrator for Surgical Patient Care Services.

Mr. Morgan holds Instructor Trainer Certificates from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute and the National Safety Council in Professional Rescuer CPR, Advanced First Aid & First Responder.  He is a Training Center Faculty Member for the American Heart Association and a Training Center Manager for the American Safety & Health Institute.  He is certified by American Safety & Health Institute and the National Safety Council to teach OSHA programs including Infection Control, Fire Safety, Disaster Preparation and Lock Out – Tag Out.  Mr. Morgan teaches the C19CO – Covid Compliance Officer Program.  Mr. Morgan is a Lifeguard Training Instructor with the American Red Cross and a Scuba Safety Instructor with the American Safety & Health Institute.  He is also a Defensive Driving Instructor for the National Safety Council.  He has served as a Set Medic on film production and a Motor Medic on a Motorcycle at events.
