Join us for ASMP-NY’s new Big-Brain BrainTrust Program. Spend a few hours with fellow members sharing and discussing whatever is on your mind. It’s a peer group for feedback, answers, and support within your community, meeting every other month to help each other with our careers and broaden connections. Come prepared with questions related to photography or image-making business/creative issues.
Why Should I Join in?
One of the main reasons people join ASMP-NY’s Big-Brain BrainTrust is for community and for support with the challenges of working as a professional photographer. ASMP-NY’s Big-Brain BrainTrust group provides a platform for this type of connection and information.
What Is the Big-Brain BrainTrust?
It’s one big peer group within ASMP-NY for feedback, answers and support within your community. We will be meeting every other month to share information and help each other with our careers. The regular get-togethers provide an opportunity to learn and have questions answered, as well as help provide connections to a broader community of photographers.
What Is The NEW Big-Brain BrainTrust Meeting?
Unlike the previous iteration, these meetings are meant to be a stand alone program. An opportunity to bring a real-life issue to the group, and an opportunity to join and or strengthen your community. Think of it as your Board of Directors! As an example of what might come up, we will explore specific issues of concern. So we ask you to have a question you would like to ask relating to the art or business of photography / image making.
Issues to consider include:
Contracts, copyright, negotiating, pricing, marketing, working with assistants, finding affordable and reliable resources, staying on track with goals or any other business /creative issues you’re having.
