Registration information: One payment is for both sessions, this is a two part workshop.  Both sessions will be recorded in the event that you unable to join live. Once you are registered, your name will be entered into the raffles. Winners of the prizes will be announced at the end of the second session. Since, these workshops will be taped, there are no refunds.

About Cheryl Machat Dorskind

Cheryl Machat Dorskind is on a mission to share her photographic passion worldwide. Cheryl Machat Dorskind has been teaching Adobe Lightroom to professional photographers worldwide and in the college classrooms for nearly a decade. As a pro photographer for over 25 years, Cheryl’s portraits stand the test of time to a loyal and repeat esteemed clientele. Corporate clients include Epic Records, Travel magazine, Random House, The New York Times, Hamptons magazine, and The Southampton Press, Newsday, The Jewish Week and Niche Media. Her fine art,  New York Times acclaimed “photopaintings” exhibit regularly and are collected worldwide.

Teaching remains an important vehicle in Cheryl’s mission to inspire and jump start photo careers.  She has been teaching in the college classroom since 1994 and holds the rank of adjunct Full professor (LIU Post, Suffolk County, Southampton College) College courses taught include: digital photography, darkroom photography, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Interior Design Portfolio Assessment, BFA and MFA Thesis Mentoring/Independent study. Cheryl has also been teaching online since 2006 with four popular classes she authored (Exploring Color, Exploring Color 2, Painting Photos, and The Art of Self Portraiture). In-person hands-on instruction workshops include Maine Media Workshops, Garden Club of America National Photo Workshops, Southampton Masters Workshops, and Cheryl Machat Dorskind Hamptons Workshops. As a fine art mentor, Cheryl has been applauded for her insights and guidance to those
who seek to find their voice, create a body of work, master their camera, or manage their photo library. As a speaker Cheryl lectures on a wide range of topics including “Color Theory for Photographers,” “Finding Your Niche,” “Being an Artist,” and “Handpainting Photographs” (Photo Expo in New York, News12, TWiP, Guild Hall). Cheryl is the author of the author of three books (The Art of Handpainting Photographs” — considered the definitive book on this art form, “The Art of Photographing Children” and Photographing Children Naturally” and penned a popular column for The Southampton Press (27East), “Picture This.”
