Photoville returns for its eighth year, in the picturesque Brooklyn Bridge Plaza, from September 12-22, 2019.
Uncontainable! • ASMP at Photoville
ASMP launches its 75th Anniversary celebration at Photoville, with a retrospective exhibition including iconic images from members throughout ASMP’s history – from past legends to the contemporary. For 75 years ASMP members have included some of the most influential visual thinkers in our industry – an aspect of the organization that is highlighted in an exhibition that demonstrates the importance of the photographer’s eye and artistic literacy. Curators Julie Grahame, publisher of aCurator magazine and senior representative for the Estate of Yousuf Karsh, Reid Callanan, founder and director of Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, and ASMP archivist and local board member Grayson Dantzic, have selected a compelling collection of photography that celebrates ASMP’s historic legacy and explores the scope of our contemporary creators working today.
