Scam Alert: Fraudulent Email Identified, Claiming to Be the U.S. Copyright Office

We want all ASMP and NANPA members to be aware of a recent scam requesting information about existing copyright registrations. The email falsely claims to be ‘part of a routine federal record verification.’ After review, this message has been confirmed fraudulent. Do not respond to this email.

If you have any questions regarding emails received from the U.S. Copyright Office, please contact the Copyright Office directly as follows (but do not click on links in questionable emails received):
