Last Friday, ASMP said goodbye to one of the backbones of our Member Outreach and Services over the past nine and a half years, Jacie Carter. It is hard to express how grateful we are to Jacie, and how thankful we are as an association for her incredible attitude, patience, caring, joy, and all the other elements that made her such a vibrant part of the ASMP family. Below, please find a short letter Jacie wrote to the Membership. Jacie, you will be sorely missed!
With our deepest thanks and gratitude,
Tom, Melanie, and the entire ASMP National Board & Staff
Team ASMP,
As I step away from my support role in Member Services after a brief nine and a half year stint, I just wanted to say that it has been my honor and privilege to work alongside such dedicated professionals and gifted group of creators and visual storytellers — not to mention, world-class historians as ASMP celebrates its 80th anniversary.
Not many people get to spend time viewing such awe-inspiring images from a myriad of specialties every day they go to work. So, I thank you for the many moments of inspiration as creators, as well as for your tireless support as advocates in the many campaigns I promoted over the years. You made my job easy!
As I transition into a new phase of my life focused on global wellness, I look forward to continuing my efforts in championing ASMP campaigns and programs from another vantage point.
Wishing you continued success in all your future endeavors — and may you keep creating the powerful visual stories that inspire others and move the world.
Warm Regards,
Jacie
