Power To The Photographer
October 19, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
$55.00 – $75.00ASMP NE presents Power To The Photographer, a dynamic, full-day, Business Workshop featuring past National ASMP Chair and Director of Photography at Buck The Cubicle, Jenna Close, and veteran visual marketing consultant, author and international lecturer, Selina Maitreya. Selina will present a visual program that clearly explains the consistent steps taken by photographers who are highly successful in marketing their work and growing a business that meets their creative, financial and professional goals. Jenna will focus her efforts on pricing, licensing and negotiating.
The morning begins with Selina’s Steps to Success program. Using case studies you will be able to see the actual sales and marketing tools, and the results photographers who have used the program have achieved. Equally useful for established and new photography businesses, Selina’s methods are effective at growing your business. Whether your are attempting to reach a new market or gain new, higher profile clients in your existing specialty, this clear, outlined program will work for you.
An active question and answer session follows and attendees are encouraged to ask specific questions related to their business. Jenna’s company, Buck The Cubicle, has recently started on the steps covered in the program and will offer recent, real life, experience.
The presenters will be available for further discussion during lunch, which will be served on site.
The afternoon will begin with Jenna sharing examples from her own work in photography and motion. She will then discuss the challenges, and offer real world solutions, to pricing, licensing, negotiations and contracts. Jenna will also discuss Copyright, the positive and negative aspects of the copyright system today, and the current initiative to create a more reasonable system for pursuing infringements, known as The CASE Act.
The project rate pricing system will be discussed and attendees will walk away from the program with a roadmap for better business practices as well as resources to further their success as a small business owner. The day concludes with another question and answer session.
We’d like to thank our sponsors High Output Studio, Bob Korn Imaging (we will be raffling off a print) and Think Tank ( we will raffle off Mirrorless Mover 20 gear bag) for their generous support of this program.
