Get out of your lighting rut and learn something new: Join A-list celebrity portrait photographer Stephanie Diani as she takes you through her creative process from: Concept, lighting, execution and post processing to the finished image. Stephanie will demonstrate the variety of light modifiers and gels she uses to create a cinematic feel to her pictures during the workshop. Concepts about the importance of the subtraction of light with flags will be discussed as well as the importance of establishing a definitive mood to your portraits. Stephanie will round off the workshop with a first hand look into her editing and post processing of the final images.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at High Output Studios 86 Lincoln St. Brighton, MA. 02135 with social hour beginning at 8am and the workshop starting at 9am. Lunch will be provided at 12:30pm and the workshop will begin again at 1:30pm and concluding at 5pm. Please register below

Stephanie Diani is a New York-based photographer who makes portraits of A-list celebrities (and others) for a cool group of discerning editors, art buyers and creative directors. She uses cinematic light and shadow to capture the subtle nuances of her subjects in moments of contemplation, humor or playfulness.
She is self-taught, has been an independent photography professional for twenty years, and still gets giddy about a great shoot. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, TIME, Fortune, Inc, AARP, American Way, Good Housekeeping, Backstage, The Wrap, The Wall Street Journal, Popular Mechanics, The Harvard Business Review, and many other leading publications.
In addition to her passion for photography, Stephanie has scuba dived in Fiji and Belize, zip lined in Hawaii, jumped out of an airplane, earned a black belt in Korean karate, graduated summa cum laude with a degree in classical archaeology, taken trapeze, fencing, Latin, Spanish, French and Italian, bumped into Mr. T in Whole Foods, and been swept off her feet by Fabio.
