ASMPNE Annual Portfolio Review 2018

The ASMP New England portfolio review will be on Tuesday, November 13th, at  High Output (86 Lincoln Street, Brighton MA).  It is open only to ASMP members.  There are tried and true reviewers and new ones. Each member can sign up for up to 6 fifteen minute reviews. Make sure to read who the reviewers are looking to meet so your reviews are as productive as possible.  ***The portfolio review will last from 3:30-6:30PM but please arrive at 3PM (registration info and access code are below in the Registration section).***

Remember, nothing will advance your work faster than getting in front of photo industry professionals who will see things you don’t.  Your portfolio can be a completed body of work, something in progress, a combination of various shoots, motion and / or stills, personal and / or commercial work, seen on a screen and / or printed.  Just edit it hard and look to have a some theme or narrative carry throughout so that it is cohesive.

Afterwards, Amigos Locos will take care of all of us, and we’ll supply the beer and wine.  Many reviewers will hang out as well so you’ll get time to spend informally with them.

Hunt’s will be on location with our new rep, Ora Lea, showing lots of mirrorless cameras like the Nikon Z7, Canon EOS R, Fuji, Sony, and Panasonic.  He’ll have the Nikon adapter and maybe some Canon adapters as well so you can bring your lenses to mount to the cameras.  We’ll be auctioning off a $2,000 Workbook Online Standard portfolio. We’ll also auction off a Think Tank Digital Holster 30 V2.0 Retail Price worth $79.75 developed for a regular size DSLR with a 70-200mm f/2.8 and lens hood in shooting position.  We’ll raffle off four $50 Hunt’s giftcards, a $200 Bob Korn Imaging print credit and a print (20×30 image on 24×34 paper) valued at $130.

Directions and Schedule:

High Output is at 86 Lincoln Street, Brighton MA.  We encourage you to carpool if possible.  There is a parking lot between 84 and 86 Lincoln St. which fits about 20 cars.  There is parking on Lincoln St. and surrounding streets. There is also parking at the Star Market (370 Western Ave.) lot which is available even if you’re not a customer of Star Market.  86, 70, 70A, and 64 bus stops are all nearby.

The ASMPNE Portfolio Review is free and open only to ASMP members (join now if you’re not a member yet). Once you register by using your ASMP membership #, use ACCESS CODE “reviews2018” to sign up for your reviewers.
