At-large board members
Board Composition and Requirements
The local board consists of elected officers, chairs, and at-large board members, each serving a minimum two-year term. The board remains committed to attracting new board members who are interested in making meaningful contributions to our community.
Eligibility to Serve on the Board
You must be an ASMP member in good standing.
Eligibility to Serve as an Officer (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer)
You must be a Professional (including Life/Leader) or Beginning Professional Member. Basic Members may serve as chairs but are not eligible to hold officer positions.
Term Length
Board members serve a two-year term.
Board Member Expectations
- Attend board meetings and not miss two consecutive meetings
- Volunteer to lead or co-lead events throughout the year
To be formally considered for the board, candidates must declare their interest while attending a board meeting. This declaration is followed by a board vote.
