In this interactive workshop for photo enthusiasts of all levels, ages, interests, and backgrounds, award-winning photographer Wing Young Huie will discuss the aesthetic, ethical, cultural, financial, and emotional challenges of photographing thousands of strangers to reveal the complex realities of society in his 40-year career. How did he get started, overcome doubt, and manage to keep going? How did his photographic process evolve? What makes a good photograph? Mr. Huie will show examples of his work, allowing time for audience interpretation and discussion, and provide the backstory on his images. There will time for Q & A.
