Please join ASMP Michigan present Detroit photographer Jenny Risher to talk about The Importance of Personal Projects. Jenny will talk about the process for her personal projects and why the importance for them as an artist. Become inspired to start your own personal project and let it lead you to a road untraveled in your career.

Jenny Risher is a lifestyle and portrait photographer.  Risher’s continual strive for perfection and natural sensibility has given her the opportunity to photograph for many illustrious clients; including ad agencies, magazines, publishing companies, celebrities, non-profit organizations, and TV shows.  Risher completed her first book, ‘Heart Soul Detroit’. A self-produced venture, she interviewed and photographed 50 iconic Detroiters; including Iggy Pop, Smokey Robinson, Jack White, Dr. Jack Kevorkian, Lily Tomlin, Alice Cooper, Bill Ford Jr, Lee Iacocca, Eminem, and Tim Allen. Risher’s second book, ‘DCYPHERED’, takes a look at Detroit’s undocumented Hip-Hop Community. In 2017- 2018 the work was featured in a seven-month solo exhibit at The Detroit Institute of Arts.
