Since 1994, ASMP has continued to work for photographers’ interests.

There are lots of reasons to join the America Society of Media Photographers  (ASMP). Some are direct and put cash in your pocket now; some are indirect and protect your livelihood in the years to come.

Our growing chapter membership strengthens our regional photo community and supports the ongoing efforts of ASMP to back its photographer members, advocate for copyright protection, and define the professional business standards and practices that shape the future of our industry.

There are regular webinars generated by ASMP National on topics that help educated members on new trends, opportunities, or issues affecting professional photographers.

The organization also hosts blogs and fourteen forums  ranging from: Architecture, Food, Fine Art, Corporate, Commercial, Weddings, Retail, Assistants and Emerging Photographers, Photojournalism to Video, Legal, and Drones. These off a way for members to interact with other likeminded photographers to solve problems and share ideas.

Members have free or discounted participation in local events where we need to charge an entry fee.
