Young Photographers Alliance (YPA), a 501(c)3 educational foundation dedicated to developing the talent of young photographers, announces the launch of its seventh annual tuition-free mentoring program initiative. The program pairs talented college students and recent graduates (open to those in age range 18-29) with leading photographers to collaborate on a photo essay around a compelling social theme. This year’s theme is Silence.

YPA is largely supported by its major founding sponsor, ASMP. Executive Director, Tom Kennedy says:

“We consider it our responsibility to provide good guidance as young photographers enter the profession. We got involved with YPA believing that ASMP’s top talent could provide that guidance and several of our members are acting as mentors”.

Two New York teams have been announced to date and additional teams will be announced in March 15th. Read the YPA Press Release for more details.
