Ohio Valley Artist Talk: NV Gay

June 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

Mx. Vincent-Natasha Gay is a photographer, digital artist, educator and public speaker based in Columbus, Ohio who has given talks to audiences at Chase, Columbus College of Art and Design, and numerous other groups.

With an immense focus on empowering and uplifting marginalized communities; photographer, digital artist, educator, public speaker, and writer Mx. Vincent-Natasha Gay (they/she; NV for short) draws inspiration through their life experiences as a transgender individual. Their work explores topics of the human condition bolstered by the words and lived experiences of NV’s subjects. With intent on treasuring individualistic self-expression, NV exposes the raw wounds of prejudice and abuse, while advocating for the inherent beauty in being human.

NV will share This is Trans, their latest project with over 300 portraits of transgender individuals from all over the world. NV will also discuss how they/she use photography for advocacy and to uplift marginalized voices.

Matt Reese, ASMP Ohio Valley President, will host the event on Zoom.

Zoom links will be emailed separately from the RSVP email confirmation.
