Join ASMP Dallas in the first week of February as we look at tax issues for photographers. Recent tax changes, including changes in sales tax collection, are starting to impact our businesses. On Wednesday, February 5th we bring in Gayla McGinnis to shed some light on some of the unique photographer tax considerations. Some points of discussion include:
- When to pay sales tax on purchases
- When to charge sales tax on items sold
- Home office & the self-employed photographer
- Vehicle options for the self-employed photographer
- Depreciation of assets
- Should you form LLC?
- How should you be taxed by IRS?
Check-in and social time will begin at 6:30pm with the program beginning at 7pm. Location is TBA. Light food and beverages will be provided. ASMP members get discounted admission.
