The archives of a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist will join the University of Arizona’s collections, the university announced.
The images and artifacts of David Hume Kennerly, 72, who has photographed 10 U.S. presidents and leaders from around the world, will be part of the university’s Center for Creative Photography in Tucson.
In total, Kennerly’s archive includes nearly 1 million “images, prints, objects, memorabilia, correspondence and documents,” the university said in a press release. The archive includes Kennerly’s iconic portraits and his helmet and cameras used while photographing the Vietnam War.
