Caren Alpert is a San Francisco-based photographer, specializing in food, interiors, and portraits, most often with a lifestyle point of view. Shooting for clients that range from award winning architecture/design magazines, to PR firms that represent the most internationally known chefs/restaurants, ad agencies and design firms doing innovative branding and strategic campaigns all the way to cookbook publishers activating new trends in cooking, Caren can gracefully pivot between each.
She started her career working for Time, Inc. as a photo editor with titles such as Health and Parenting Magazines. In addition, she has served as an editor and researcher for Dwell, Vogue, George (JFK Jr.’s political magazine), and for Miramax Films. That critical eye she developed early on in her career as a photo editor has served her well.
