Sponsors include Sony, Canon, Fujifilm, Think Tank, and Bob Korn Imaging

BEST of ASMP is a members-only contest and it is designed to showcase the important work of ASMP members from photos/videos taken between December 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020. Non-members can join ASMP to participate in the contest. Our contests are only one of the reasons for being an ASMP member.

UPDATE January 26, 2021: Round Two has been completed. There are a few tiebreakers that need to be solved by the jury this week.  Their results should be posted on Thursday, Jan. 28th. Member voting gets underway next week (see below for process). Thanks to all of the jurists for their time and expertise!

The last phase of judging will include members. Once our 3 jurists select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each of the five categories, the five 1st place winners will be included in a final round of judging by members to select the Grand Prize winner of the BEST Of ASMP 2020. More details about member judging for the Grand Prize will be posted shortly.

Entry Fees

Wondering why we are charging contest entry fees? Charging contest fees allows us to subsidize the software platform we use to manage contest entries and communication with submitters, as well as provide us with sophisticated judging functionality. We also believe in compensating our judges with an honorarium to both acknowledge their time and the level of expertise they bring to the contest. Finally, all remaining proceeds from our contests go toward supporting ASMP’s education and advocacy initiatives that ultimately benefit us all.
