Join fellow photographers, new and experienced, for a virtual discussion about the business of photography.

For our June 13 Coffee Meetup, we are excited to include a discussion on “Visual Perceptions” with Jack Reznicki.

“Visual Perceptions” in photography. Seeing the light, Gestalt Theory, color theory, composition, and others issues on how our eyes see and how easy it is to fool our eyes. Jack will start with a brief talk about his history and how he is camera scanning his archives.

BIO:

Jack Reznicki is a renowned photographer, teacher, lecturer, columnist and author based in New York. He is an Honorary Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Jack Reznicki color headshot with cameraProfessional Photography and has twice received the International Photographic Council Leadership medal at the United Nations. Jack was appointed a guest professor at Shandong University of Art and Design and named a Mo-Tse Grand Master Photographer in China. Active in the photographic community, Jack is a past president of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and a founding board member of Advertising Photographers of America (APA).  

As an author of several books, including Illustration Photography and Studio and Advertising Photography, he was also a popular columnist in Petersen’s Photographic and Photoshop User magazines. 

His current passion is travel photography, but he is well known for his photography of children for clients such as Toys R Us, Carter and Working Mother magazine, as well as his illustration photography for Reader’s Digest, several covers of Time and many Fortune 500 clients. Proud to be one of the original Canon Explorers of Light, Jack is also a Photoshop World Dream Team instructor, an Epson Stylus Pro, an X-Rite Coloratti and a SanDisk Photo Master.  

Holding a BFA cum laude degree in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology, he teaches a graduate course on photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Learn more at www.reznicki.com.
