Why did you become a photographer? Are those needs and motivations being satisfied in your professional work? As our passion becomes our profession, the practical need to build a marketable portfolio, pursue clients and satisfy others’ demands can turn photography into a…job. What would you shoot, how would you shoot, if you had no one to please but yourself? Most of us will do whatever it takes to deliver for a client, but what if we worked as hard for ourselves? “Personal Work” often refers to self-assigned projects to flesh out a portfolio. However, there can be indirect, though deeper benefits, from shooting for an audience of one. Come learn about Carl Bower’s experiences and where these personal projects have led him.
What to bring? A notebook, pen and your business cards.
