Join ASMP Colorado for our three day 2020 Photo Assistant Workshop and receive your Certificate of Completion (when you attend all three days).
Saturday, September 26, 9AM – 1PM, has local pros showing you how to use everyday equipment at 3 of the 6 different stations.
Sunday, September 27, 9AM – 1PM, is a second day of local pros showing you how to use everyday equipment. There will be an optional quiz you’ll want to take if you’d like to earn a Certificate of Completion. Following the quiz, we’ll help you get your profile set up on ASMP’s Find An Assistant page, so you can get your name out there to start working.

Natja Soave graduated from Red Rocks Community College in 2018 with a degree in Professional Photography. Once free from the confines of her “formal education“ she took her patchwork set of skills and added her name to the ranks of the many rockstar assistants in Denver. Natja is now a production, photo, wardrobe and art assistant. She is also one of the co-founders and project leads for an up and coming media co-op called Healing Transmissions that specializes in inclusivity, and empathy through the art of visual storytelling. | |
Michael Teak is a professional headshot and personal branding photographer based in Boulder and Denver, Colorado. Drawing from his 20-year career as an internationally sought-after model, he brings styling and posing to a new level in his shoots. Working with some of the top fashion photographers in the world gave Michael unprecedented access to techniques for shooting and styling, which he now brings to his clients. | |
Steven H.Begleiter’s career started in NYC. He was first assistant to Annie Leibovitz and Mary Ellen Mark. He maintained a commercial studio in Manhattan for 18 years. Publishing his first book “Fathers and Sons” Abbeville Press in 1989. Moving to Philadelphia in 1997 to teach at the University of Pennsylvania School of Fine Arts for the next 10 years he published two more books about photography. In 2006 he moved to Missoula, Montana to teach at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography and published two more books. In 2017 he moved to the great city of Denver and teaches at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and his newest book “Photographic Lighting for Everybody” Amherst Media comes out this April. | |

Katie Warnke is ASMP Colorado’s chapter president and our Friday night panel moderator. She has a background in photojournalism and now specializes in headshots and business branding for professionals in Colorado. She’s been shooting for over 20 years, first at newspapers and then for her business, GreenEarth Photography. Katie has her BS in Visual Communication (Photojournalism) from Ohio University. |

Daniel Hirsh has a BFA in photography from the Art Institute of Boston and has been a professional portrait and corporate photographer for almost twenty years. His work appears in both local and national publications. His clients are mostly in the legal, healthcare, financial and water industries and range from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. His talents lie in his ability to tell a story and to quickly build rapport with his clients through a fun yet professional experience. | |
Paul Trantow is a 20-year veteran of the commercial/corporate photography business. His clients include Fortune 100 companies in health care, construction, and finance. He specializes in the photography of people on location and is often on the road shooting for websites, annual reports, and marketing pieces. He has been an ASMP member since 2000. |

Todd has been an active fine art photographer for several decades, and is currently specializing in 21 st century photographic techniques. Todd also operates a freelance editorial business and is an FAA licensed drone pilot. He earned his BFA at The Ohio State University in Photography in 1999, and his MFA from The University of Colorado at Boulder in Photography and Media Art in 2005. He has been teaching college level photography, both commercial and fine art, since earning his graduate degree. Todd’s fine art work combines historic methods with modern technology and conceptual practice, and his work has been published and exhibited internationally. Todd’s passion for the outdoors and concern for the environment are the driving force behind his most recent personal projects. | |
