Setting Creative Intentions

EVENT POSTPONED
Join ASMP Chicago/Midwest for an evening of stress relief and intention setting for the new year. Together, Jacki Angeletti and Greg Archer will provide an hour of mind-body and spiritual wellness, combining restorative/gentle yoga for the body, taught by Greg, followed by a sound bath healing meditation guided by Jacki to soothe your soul. After the session, share reflection and community building while enjoying light Mediterranean snacks, beer, wine, and sparkling water with fellow photographers.
During the session participants will be guided through light movements and a sound bath meditation while laying on the floor. Please wear comfortable clothing (athleisure encouraged!), easy to remove shoes or boots, and bring a yoga mat, blanket, and any props you might like to feel comfortable.
Parking available in the lot next to the building or free street parking in front of the building.
Sound healing has ancient roots worldwide, and current scientific evidence indicates that sound baths are a healing modality. By combining musical instruments, sound waves, and frequencies, we shift our brainwave activity into a more balanced state that supports healing and repair, modulates stress, and promotes a more relaxed mindset.
About the facilitators:
With more than 20 years of experience, Greg Archer has trained with notable yogi masters. He leads uplifting yoga classes that focus on breath and body movement and teaches throughout the Chicago area. Greg is a fellow sound bath facilitator, an entertainment journalist, and the author of Grace Revealed, a memoir tracing his Polish family’s uplifting story during WWII.
Jacki Angeletti is a certified sound bath practitioner and reiki master and is currently pursuing certification as a grief counselor. A lifelong lover of art, particularly photography, Jacki spent more than 25 years as a print and art producer at advertising agencies, including JWT, O&M, Schafer, Condon/Carter, and DDB Chicago.
