Mark your calendars! ASMP Midwest is planning a virtual online DAM workshop series beginning in March, 2025. ALL SESSIONS ARE RECORDED and available to registrants after the live webinar.

DAM stands for Digital Asset Management. By using a DAM system, photographers can easily upload, store, search, share, protect, and track digital assets such as images, videos, audio files, and documents.

As your digital assets grow, so does the need to organize, archive, and backup your files. The average photographer may store hundreds of thousands of media files throughout one’s career, even more files if also producing video or audio.

Do you have a growing number of hard drives you use to store and access your digital media? Are you concerned about losing data from an external hard drive malfunctioning or from media getting lost in the cloud?

This virtual ASMP/Midwest DAM series will address the pain points individual photographers and media producers face as their digital media assets evolve.  If you want to learn how to organize, store, and easily access your growing bank of media files, then this workshop is for you.

Process Makes Perfect: How to make AI and Metadata work for YOU

While folder structure is key to an organized digital asset library, metadata is the engine that powers true efficiency in your workflow. We’ll explore the advantages of manual and AI applied metadata as well as the benefits they provide to your short and long term storage strategies.

Classic or Cloud: Which Adobe Lightroom is right for you?

This workshop is geared for photographers who have heard of the different Lightroom options but aren’t sure which one to use. During this workshop, we will discuss the major differences between each Lightroom option and the pros and cons to weigh when picking what works best for you.
