Hello local creatives-
I am excited and energized to take on the role of ASMP Chicago midwest board President. I have been a photographer in Chicago for over the past 15 years and on the board for over three years as Fine Art Co-Chair and Communications Director. I want to start out by thanking Brian Schilling for his time, talent and passion as our previous Board President. We all very much appreciate his leadership and vision for our community.
My main goals as President is to continue to cultivate an environment within ASMP Chicago/Midwest where creatives can find a community, resources, and support to build their business, and elevate their art. I truly believe Chicago is filled with an amazing pool of artists that can continue to produce profound and relevant work and compete on the world stage. I will continue working towards creating bonds and networking with other creative organization in Chicago in the photography world and beyond. This will allow us to put more programming on together to build our ASMP community while building a larger creative community here in Chicago and across the U.S..
It is not easy being an image maker on our own. It is much more successful (and fun!) to be a part of a creative community that you can call on when needed. Let’s keep building our community and art together.
Cheers to 2018 and the amazing possibilities yet to come.
