Architecture SG at ASLA 2009

The Architectural Photography Specialty Group had a major presence at the 2009 annual meeting of the American Society of Landscape Architects. The convention was held on September 18-21 in Chicago’s enormous McCormick Place. At the show, the APSG had an information booth and three “portrait studios” on the show floor.

ASMP photographers invited showgoers to sit for a portrait. Each portrait was copied onto a 1 GB jump drive bearing the ASMP logo and promoting Find A Photographer — complete with a working web page to initiate a Find A Photographer online search.

It made a great opportunity to introduce landscape architects to ASMP, explain how the photography business works, build some good will, and promote Find A Photographer.
