Under the leadership of President Simon Kuo, the Kansas City/Mid-America chapter partnered with the University of Missouri School of Journalism in co-presenting a Picture of the Year International Exhibition at the Kansas City Public Library.

POYi Exhibition is Open to the Public

Award-winning photographer Yunghi Kim spotlights favorite images from a more than three-decade career in which she has trained her lens on some of the world’s most notable events, including last year’s racial unrest in Baltimore.

Photographer Yunghi Kim, first place winner of the General News divisionin the 2015 Pictures of the Year International competition, will candidly discuss her process of storytelling, her experience with gaining access to a story and getting it into the public view. Drawing from her 32 years of experience in the field, she will also share her thoughts on the future of photojournalism. There will be a half hour for socializing before the workshop begins.

Special prize drawing for those who pre-register.
