The Future is coming!
The photography industry is advancing and changing more and more quickly than ever. Right along with changes in camera technology, photographers are witnessing shifts in the business landscape that can be a challenge to understand and navigate, whether they’re just beginning their business or growing it after 25 years of shooting. This workshop ensures professional photographers are educated on the newest and most sustainable business practices is a significant goal for current and prospective ASMP members.
Join us in Baltimore for an all-day, hands-on workshop featuring a forecast from our Executive Director Tom Kennedy, and business advice from three speakers:
- John Harrington: He literally wrote the book on Best Business Practices for Photographers. (It’s in its third edition.)
- Chuck Eagleston: Risk Management advice from an Allstate agency owner who provides insurance for pro photographers.
- Scott Burkholder: An artist agent and coach who’s dedicated his career to helping creatives make a living.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided. For lunch, explore the great options close by. We’ll also have a raffle for sponsor give aways. There’s plenty of parking (metered street and pay lots), but in case you want to take mass-transit, the workshop location is a stone’s throw from Baltimore’s Penn Station. And a block further is the Bolt Bus drop off. Seeing how it’s Cinco de Mayo, there’s a pretty good chance we might head somewhere for margaritas afterwards. So…travel responsibly.
