Elena Volkova is the latest artist taking over the ASMP Baltimore account. Elena Volkova is a Ukrainian-born photographer, educator, and curator.  Elena’s artistic work follows post-minimalist aesthetic and focuses on liminal space, bringing attention to the everyday overlooked moments

Volkova has received several recognitions and awards, including the Janis Meyer Traveling Fellowship, Hamiltonian Fellowship, Vermont Studio Fellowship, and Stevenson University Faculty Research Grant. Volkova has exhibited her work nationally and internationally, and has been part of the Art in Embassies program.

Elena has been a co-host of a photojournalism podcast, Ten Frames Per Second with J.M. Giordano and co-curated a history of photography exhibition at Maryland Center for History and Culture. Volkova resides in Baltimore, MD and teaches Photography at Stevenson University.
