smStephen Mallon’s newest project for The New York Times was photographing Prelude, the largest offshore floating facility ever built. It is still under construction in a South Korean shipyard on Geoje. View the story here.

Todd Weinstein’s moving photographic exhibit, Light is My Voice: Images, Legends, and Abstractions, is displayed in the Detroit Holocaust Memorial Center until Dec. 22nd. The exhibit explores themes including the reemergence of Jewish life in modern day Germany, the prophets of the Bible, and the legend of the 36 Righteous Ones whose merit keeps the world from destruction in times of peril. pdPascal Depuhl’s documentary film, On Wings of Hope, was named Gold Winner at the 2014 MarCom Awards. This short video won Best of ASMP in 2013. Learn more here.

Rodrigo Ordóñez participated as a guest judge in the Indonesia episode of Photo Face-Off, a new History Channel TV show where a professional competes against amateur photographers around Asia. More information here.

Deborah Feingold will speak about her book, Music, at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles on December 4th. She will speak about the challenges of working with stars who may not want to be photographed. For more information, go here.

mmMark Maio gave a gallery talk at the opening of the Royal Photographic Society’s International Images for Science Exhibition at Georgia Regents University in Augusta. His photo “20/20” is featured in the Exhibition, which runs through November 30th. For more information, go here.

Scott Mc Kiernan’s DOUBLEtruck Magazine exhibition has opened, featuring the Best of First Decade of DOUBLEtruck Magazine, winner of Best Use of Photography in a Magazine. The exhibition is a virtual time capsule of some of the most memorable moments in recent history captured by world-renowned photojournalists. The exhibition runs through January 9 at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre Museum, West Palm Beach, FL.

New Mexico Chapter Publishes Newsletter
Gabriella Marks, Chapter President, has shared the most recent edition of the ASMP New Mexico Newsletter, featuring articles by and about New Mexico members. This issue was a result of the hard work and volunteer effort by Editor Steve Zeifman, Associate Editor David Halpern and Associate Editor Ford Robbins, who also executed the layout.
