Volunteer Spotlight: Leah Nash
Leah Nash, President of the Oregon ASMP Chapter, has shaken things up in Portland (in a good way!) with an event she created called PDX Squared. Now in its third year, PDX Squared matches 70 amateur and professional photographers with four square miles of the city. Participants are randomly assigned a square, the equivalent to 16 city blocks, and given 24 hours in which to make the most compelling pictures possible. Read more about Leah and the event here. On September 30, Damiani Books will release Music, Feingold’s first-ever anthology, featuring over 75 photographs spanning nearly 40 years. Grammy Award-winning music critic Anthony DeCurtis wrote the foreword and praises the collection for presenting these iconic musicians “not as celebrities… and not necessarily even as artists, but as people.” For more info, go here.

Aaron Peterson has two new motion projects, Sailing Lake Superior and You. The Road. Nature.
connect02Photographer/writer Janis Miglavs received the “Best in the World” award for his recent book China: The New Wine Frontier at the international Cookbook Fair in Beijing, China. For more about the book and Janis’ work, go here.
