Join ASMP and other creator groups for a Blue Wave on Capitol Hill in support of CASE Act on June 26th.
We are looking for members in the DC, Maryland, Virginia, and metro regions who are willing to travel to Capitol Hill to demonstrate their support for the CASE Act and join us at a Copyright Office hearing on Wednesday, June 26th. Participating creators would be asked to sit in the audience at the hearing and wear a blue “Creator” shirt promoting the CASE Act.
The details are as follows:
Time: The hearing begins at 10:00am, but we ask that you arrive at the building at 9:00am to pick up a blue “Creator” shirt to wear.
Shirt Pick up Location: Enter the Rayburn Building via Independence Avenue and meet in the foyer directly beyond security. The foyer is bounded by window to the courtyard and two stairwells, and includes a statute of Sam Rayburn in the center.
Hearing Location: House Rayburn Office Building (located at 45 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC); Room Number 2141
Length of the Hearing: The hearing usually will likely last one to two hours, though you are free to leave the hearing at any time.
Please email us at advocacy@asmp.org to let us know if you can join us at the hearing.
If you are unable to attend the hearing, you can watch the hearing live, and you can find our live tweets here between 10am and noon ET on June 26. Please feel free to RT our messages as they are shared.
ASMP and your colleague creators would also appreciate you taking a minute to send a tweet or email to encourage your representative to support the CASE Act. Join the Blue Wave now!
