On Thursday, September 27th, the House Judiciary Committee will hear testimony about the Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement (CASE) Act. Jenna Close, former ASMP National Board Chair, will be testifying at the hearing in support of the bill, which if enacted would create a Small Claims Tribunal within the United States Copyright Office to hear infringement cases giving photographers for the first time ever an affordable alternative to federal court as the means to resolve disputes.

Other witnesses who will be testifying at the hearing include: Keith Kupferschmid, Copyright Alliance; David Trust, PPA; Matthew Schruers, CCIA; and Jonathan Berroya, Internet Association.

ASMP is encouraging members to show their support of the CASE Act by joining ASMP and other visual creator organizations on Capitol Hill in show of unity for the proposed small claims tribunal before the House Judiciary Committee.

Join Jenna, Tom Kennedy, Mike Klipper, and other ASMP members in support of the CASE Act. Sign up below.
