Join us at an in-district meeting with your Representative!
ASMP and other creator groups supporting efforts to enact the CASE Act are in the process of scheduling in-district meetings with key legislators on the House Judiciary Committee during their upcoming Congressional breaks in May, June, and July. We would like to invite members to join us at these in-district meetings as representatives of the photographic community to show their support of the CASE Act and share their copyright stories with their respective Representatives. Representatives having the opportunity to hear from their constituents in a face-to-face can be a key factor in securing support of additional members of Congress as CASE Act co-sponsors.
If you live in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin, your Representative may also be a House Judiciary Committee member. Find your Representative at contactingcongress.org by entering your zip code. See list of House Judiciary Committee members.
If you are interested in attending a possible in-district meeting or would be willing to submit a personal statement in support of the CASE Act that can be presented to your Representative or other House Judiciary Committee members, please send email to advocacy@asmp.org and we will send you additional information about the meeting or the submission of a personal statement.
