Request a Photo
Request a Photo helps art directors, graphic designers and others find the specific stock image they need from among the work of ASMP's industry-leading members.
How it works
- The client fills out the form with contact information and a concise but detailed description of the kind of image needed.
- After approval, the request is relayed to ASMP members via the ASMP website and email.
- Members contact the client, who then can choose the image that comes closest to his/her needs and enter into an agreement directly with the photographer.
Please note: ASMP serves to introduce the two parties only. ASMP members are responsible for negotiating licensing agreements and any other related professional expenses.
What makes a good “Photo Description”?
Beyond describing the content of the photo you‘re looking for in as much detail as you can, there are other ways to increase the chances of getting just what you need. When writing your photo description be sure to include information about who you are, why you are looking for the photo and how it is going to be used (for example, what publication it will appear in, and in what context). If the photo is needed by a certain date, be sure to list that as well. In short, it is better to have lots of description than too little.
